1. Magnolia Bakery (New York)
Every Sex and the City fan and cupcake lover must visit Magnolia! As you enter, the coziness of the place inevitably reminds you of your grandma’s house. You could stand there forever simply staring at how gracefully they frost cakes. Everything is fresh. You see products vanish the moment they come out of the oven. Magnolia, to most people, is about having that Sex and the City moment sitting outside their 401 Bleecker St. store. But this chain of bakeries has been credited for starting the cupcake craze, and its delicious goodies have traveled as far as Dubai, where the first Non-US store opened in 2010. Inspired in the craziness generated by the Carrie and Miranda moment, the bakery sold the Carrie Cupcakes: rich old fashioned vanilla mini cakes with pink vanilla buttercream and a sugar daisy on top! No drooling please!
