Even though at first his depression symptoms were to blame for the actor’s suicide, the latest research about what pushed Williams over the edge turns our attention to a common case of dementia called DLB (dementia with Lewy bodies). Probably the main symptom of this mental illness commonly known as DLB, is the constant presence of hallucinations, very real to the patients, combined with poor movement and general difficulties that only progress with time and ultimately become unbearable. With multiple symptoms in common with Alzheimer’s or Parkinson’s, DLB is difficult to diagnose, but ultimately it was this disease what caused Robin to rapidly lose his mind, and walk down a path with no return.
